MT DRUITT PALLIATIVE CARE UNIT
Mt Druitt Palliative Care Unit is a 16 bed multidisciplinary inpatient facility with outpatient services and after hours nursing service. The unit provides community support with the availability of home visits by social work, bereavement counsellor and occupational therapist.
An after hours Palliative Care Nursing Service provides telephone support to patients outside of normal business hours across the Sydney West Network.
The Palliative Care Unit at Mt Druitt Hospital is part of the specialist networked service that along with Nepean, Springwood, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Blacktown, and St Josephs Hospital Auburn provide specialist multidisciplinary palliative care to patients with malignant or non malignant conditions that require symptom control, pain management and end of life care. Supportive and Palliative Care services are part of the Sydney West Cancer network.

Fees charged: All inpatient and outpatient services are bulk billed. Patients should bring a Medicare Card, along with any private health insurance details.
