Look Good Feel Better Program

This national program helps men and women living with cancer to improve their appearance and self esteem by teaching beauty techniques to camouflage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

The Look Good, Feel Better team

Update:  In order to ensure the safety of our participants and volunteers, and to help minimise the impact of COVID-19 in our communities, Look Good Feel Better has ceased physical workshops until further notice. In the interim, all participants are encouraged to submit a Home-Delivered Confidence Kit referral form and are welcome to register for an interactive Virtual Workshop.Available Virtual Workshop dates and times are listed below. Please note times listed are Australian Eastern Time, as our team is based in Sydney. A link for accessing the Virtual Workshop will be provided upon registration.

During a two hour workshop, under the guidance of experienced and specially trained volunteers, clients are shown how to deal with changes that may occur during their treatment (loss of hair, eyebrows and lashes, redness and dryness of the skin, facial weight gain or loss) through the use of skincare, make-up, wigs, turbans, hats and other accessories.

An experienced fitter is also in attendance to demonstrate the use and care of wigs.

Workshops are free of charge and are held almost every week at various locations around the metropolitan area . They are also held in some country locations on a regular basis.(please note as above, all workshops are held online)

The client receives beauty products for their use during the workshop, which can be taken home afterwards.

The Look Good…Feel Better program was founded and developed by the Australian cosmetic industry in May 1990 (through its former industry association, the CTFAA), and is administered through the registered charitable organisation, the Cancer Patients Foundation Ltd.

If you wish to bring a friend or family member with you please feel free to do so, however it will not be possible for them to take an active part in the workshop itself.
